It's hard enough being born in the first place, Who would ever want to be born again? It's taken this long just to get to this place, So what's the point in ever being born again? |
When you receive a Christmas gift you do kinda expect it to at the very least last till the end of January.
When I worked in a retail job in my local city, I remember fondly (before they didn’t extend my contract), how the foreign ‘concession’ stand would be flooded by angry customers, who a few weeks earlier had brought their darling children one of the cheap radio controller helicopters. After a few days use they had clearly realised that the quality of these helicopters where not of the greatest quality and the majority will have broken before the end of December.
Flowers are a nice gift at any time of the year and especially so at Christmas. I received a Poinsettia for Christmas - which is a lovely plant and is fairly eye catching with its lovely red shade. Sounds like the IDEAL Christmas plant don’t you think?
A previous conversation with a work colleague about the Poinsettia gave me second thoughts on how good this seemingly beautiful flower actually is. He told me that for years and years he had received them at Christmas and every single one had died within a few weeks - despite large efforts to save them.
I hoped mine would last for at least a month- did it? No It was fairly rubbish to be honest. It promptly died within a week, despite my efforts to save it.
I hope next year I do not receive another one - frankly it will be thrown straight away and the sender’s name removed from any future Christmas card list…
