Its probably fair to say that hospital food is probably in need of some kind of Heston Blumenthal style makeover as frankly its probably the most inedible food going.
What however is not needed in hospitals is the Fast Food culture, entering into a place of regenerative health and providing patients with a unhealthy option. Patients in South London’s Croydon Hospital already have a Burger King to spend there pennies on.
Personally I think this is a disgrace and in a way makes a mockery of the idea of getting better in hospital. Massive investments need to be made instead in the catering departments in the Hospitals rather to produce better, more tastier food for the ‘inmates’.
